Read the passage and answer the question that follows. Passage: The Buddha, Siddhartha Gautama, lived in the 6th century BC. He questioned the nature of existence and suffering. After years of meditation, he achieved enlightenment and taught the Four Noble Truths. The first truth is that life involves suffering (Dukkha). The second is that suffering arises from craving and attachment (Samudāya). The third is that suffering can cease (Nirodha).
